Jolt
Week 3 postponed game versus rb took place last night, again rb struggling to get a team eventually got 4 on the server.

We continued with our all cess tactics and cruised through dm7 holding most areas of the map and cessing ra when rb made a challenge for it, 150-63.

Milktdm1 which we havent played since bwdml 4 seasons ago was a little different as Shane decided to go for a no armour map having wh0red it all on dm7 and obviously felt bad, we had RA all game but rb made more of a challenge at quad but not really on the game, 116-92 to ek, the deputy also made a guest appearance for the second week running as blowfish had to leave mid way through.

Tonight we take on aAa in which is going to be another tough match in bwdml.

Bwdml Week
Our tough start to BWDML got even tougher last night as we took on DC on dm7 and pro-q3dm6.

A little weaker perhaps with z3on working and djuhn being a cunt and watching ER rather than play gave coda and surg the opportunity to play a map each for us.

First map was dm7; with only one tactic in mind we decided to cess our way through and it proved reasonably rewarding with quite a few decent spells at red armor and a fair share of quads, Jay was to strong for us though and convincingly helped DC win the map 87-127.

Second map was pro-q3dm6, coda swapped to allow surg to get a game, the map started off pretty dull for ek as again Jay ran wild, eventually we got a grip on red armor and rocket launcher with a few spells at rail and managed to get most quads however they never usually got very far, we never gave up but never looked like making to much of an impact, final score 116-155.

Next week it doesn’t get any easier as we play aAa on cpm4 and dm14tmp.

Dull 2nd week games vs RnF, a far cry from last week's cessy BW game vs iron/rv. Down two players and a coach, we convinced dawg to step out of retirement and blowfish to coach us from his modem and laptop (software gives him a whole 2fps!).

The maps to be played were OSPDM5 and DM14, and we soon disovered RnF to be more German than French. I'm not sure where the entertainment value is in crouching with a rail aimed at a door or hiding round a corner, rocket at the ready. Regardless, we stuck to our game and soldiered on. Blowfish's coaching would have been helpful had it not taken 45 seconds for messages he typed to be relayed.

We had decent starts on both maps, a little wobble on each at the 12 min mark, but ran out winners on both.

Scores:
OSPDM5 101-96
DM14 67-54

BWDML
BWDML Week 2 kicked off tonight with us playing rv (iron) who fielded Mist, Anarchy, Dues & belth, a team to perhaps challenge most, sadly Malc couldn’t coach us due to his kids not being well so we battled it out with djuhn coaching in replacement of Malc.

First map was dm14 with rv having the majority of RA and BS and ourselves going for quad, we eventually managed to get in RA and hold on for it for a short while but never really made much of a challenge, final score 74-105.

Second map was ospdm6 and never a favorite of ek, we had quite a decent couple of minutes until rv gained control of ra, with ourselves concentrating mainly on rail and mega, tp wasn’t to great on this map but even with our mad ffa skillz we kept it fairly respectable to finish 115-154.

NOW THEN

We just played our first game of the Jolt DML season 5. After a roasting from the reformed Deegrollers as warmup, sd, raw, zeethree and I played TU (or LL, whatever) on cpm4 then osp6.

CPM4: 133-72 OSP6: 144-89

A big thanks to Malc for his excellent coaching. A good reader of the game makes a big difference, and our coaches calls were pretty much spot on.

GG LL, and LIVERPOOL FOR THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE.

BW week 1
PZZ beat us in two maps, as expected. A bit short on players in the Wednesday 9pm slot left us with a drunken surg, since PZZ didn't want to wait an hour for the game (and why should they, this is division one).

Scores:
117-76 CPM4 62-152 OSPDM5

Jolt clan website contest
We won something!

» Review: Finally, a clan website to test my 56k! (lol). Well, it doesn't take as long to load as quite a lot that I know (d5) and it does look very lush. EK's site is one of the best looking clan websites I have ever seen, with nice use of colours, easy user control and regular updates. Possibly some of the criticisms that I can give it is that a few of the links on the left don't work. The website is in a nice grey/green/yellow and has a gorgeous news layout. There are some nice things, like a p0rn section (sorry ladies) and random picture. Shame that you cannot put your own comments, but at the same time, the simplicity does it justice. A very nice site, which is regularly updated, which is a must. Well done Mr. ek webmaster. (It would have 9 if more links were working).
» SCORE: 8/10

Thanks to Oxi for the award and the review. :) However, it's nicepr0n, not pr0n :P We're connoisseurs, not perverts... honest!

It's always good to get some constructive criticism, so we've had a potter around the site to see what we can patch up. I got round to migrating the results page to php/mysql, and will sort out the missing pages (black links on the left) later in the week. I think the long download time is partly due to the "random image", as it gets the full-size image and scales it down. Thumbnails would fix this.

UK team announced
Congratulations to sd and z3on, who join the UK Q3TDM squad this weekend. They're in good company, as raw is there already with our coach The_Stranger and ex-ek roof-dancer Jay. GL with the eurocup guys :)

Rumour has it that Blowfish was also due to be selected to provide half-time (ok, in-between maps) hand relief to the squad. Unfortunately, he was beaten off to the job by an unknown individual LoL!1!!

...more BW stuff
The games clash with ER :((

In better news, that means I am effectively ruled out for any games that are played as scheduled this season ;)

More importantly, The_Stranger has joined as EK's coach for some of the games. Like most of us, he's a busy bee, but I'm sure he'll be an improving factor on EK's legendary teamplay ;) Thanks, Malc (and good luck) \o/

Barrysworld.... div 1
We're back in the Barrysworld TDM league which is due to start again soon. Before our hibernation, we were set to make our second outing into division one, and Bigfoot, for better or worse, has decided we belong in division one this time.

I think that we could have taken on division one a few months ago had our Clanbase team been available and active, but I think the EK that will take on division one this time will be a far cry from the team that edged out HF, the reigning Opencup champions, when we met in the group stages. Over the past few months, I've not touched TDM at all: playing a map or two for TC a while back, some CA from surg's flat last weekend and a horrific 'Net cafe experience has been the sum of my Q3ing. I know the situation is similar for many members, and so here's my prediction for the division:

EK get raped by:
DC - Jay gets a net of +100
x4 - rza has a stormer
PZZ - PZZ do their complete lockout trick
aAa - fromaged out of victory
Rv - the victory stolen
rp - all Quiff tbh
N - wrote the book on teamplay

In short, we're not 24/7 enough for division one, but next season should be interesting... :) Like surg pointed out a few days ago, the gap between the good teams and the very good teams is widening, leaving bigfoot in a difficult decision in filling the relegation spots for division one. I'm flattered that he thinks we're up to the task, but I reckon we've got a season of being fodder to look forward to.
