BWDML Week 4
Tonight we played nV on dm14tmp & ospdm5.

First up was dm14tmp, it started slowly but we managed to lock RA early on and held it for pretty much the entire 20 minutes, some good quad steals from ek saw us take both powerups several times and safely taking out nVs quad before he reached RA, final score 78-49.

Second map was ospdm5, starting off a bit bad for us with little in the way of weapons saw nV open up a 10 frag lead, we soon settled down though and managed to lock down rail and quad and held it through to the end of the map, winning a comfortable 114-55.

EK: dawg / z3on / sd / raw with coaching by jeopardy ;)

nV: Outs / Martel / Reflec / Ayeron

Both enjoyable games, always fun beating pingy cunts like Martel who think they are the dogs bollocks at q3 when rocket jumping all over you on Clan Arena :)

Elsewhere in the our division, our friends and regular practice buddies in nD managed to take DM14 off QL.

Jolt Semis
Tonight our intrepid band of TDMers took on EA in the semi finals of the Jolt TDM Cup. The team was made up of 2 ISDNers and 2 broadbanders: z3on, dawg, raw and sd, with myself in charge of coaching. This game was played earlier than it should have been as the majority of EA's team get their A-level results on Thursday... good luck, lads!

We chose dm14, which was played first, and ran out comforable winners 89-56. EA, as I'd kind of expected, picked DM6. Nevertheless, we kept the same team, and after the lead see-sawing several times we lost by a single frag (again) 110-111.

The decider was to be on cpm4, as predetermined by head Jolt honcho Reaper, which suited us fine. After a good set of spawns (for a change) and the first quad, we managed to hold RA and have z3on at PG mopping up spawn frags. This period of lockdown was enough to give us the map, despite z3on having to leave and an un-warmed-up coach play :P Final score 117-89.

The final is on Thursday at 10pm against one of WaR, Fury, rB or QL depending on the outcome of the quarter finals and other semi, though I'd be expecting us to be playing the winner of Fury vs QL.

Jolt Cup
We are now through to the semi finals of the Jolt Cup after beating nvr on dm14tmp and ospdm5.

Sadly ospdm5 was played v 3 men, nvrs 4th quitting on the 18 min mark of dm14tmp because he can give cocky comments but not take them :)

We now play EA for a place in the final this Tuesday at 8.

BWDML Week 3
We took on QL> tonight on pro-q3dm6 and ospdm6!

pro-q3dm6 started off a bit shakey and stayed close pretty much right through to about 14 minutes when we finaly edged out a 30 frag lead finishing the map 121-91.

ospdm6 was a totaly different story, this map usualy proves to be one of our better maps but we got caught out this time, wasting a couple of decent opportunities with quad, one incident still has me puzzled now with myself getting stuck at MH with quad :/ Anyway we fell behind some 30 frags rather quickly, QL> being rather raily & all looked quite at home on this map and did quite a good job on us, we slowly clawed our way back into the game, not before sd timed out who was then replaced by ea from irc, with just 10 seconds remaining we made 2 crucial frags to take the score to 103-103 taking the game into sudden death, however dawg managed to die and we lost by 1 frag :))

EK TEAM: raw / dawg / carn / sd

Thanks to nD for warmup games before bwdml!

Where's your Apple gone?
Tonight we played vGo in week 2 of bwdml on maps dm7tmp and ospdm5.

dm7tmp was first up of which we got off to a shocking start falling around 10 frags behind within the minute, we settled down quickly though and locked RA & Mega for most of the game and took a fair amount of the quads to comfortabily win the match 128-78 gg!

Onto ospdm5 which is usualy our worst map by far proved a struggle to start off with, we held rail & RA for pretty much the entire game and it appeared enough to hold off vGo from taking quads, they did time a few steals at quad so all credit to them, ek win 97-73.

Sadly, the admin demonstrated less than competentency in the basic prerequisite of impartiality. Actually, he was a cunt.

Jolt Games
I missed these due to moving flat and stuff.
http://www.q3dml.jolt.co.uk/results.php seems to have not been updated yet - I assume after all the games have been played.
Firstly our old netquake chums ( http://www.quadquakers.com )
QQ cpm4: 216-45
QQ pro-q3dm6: 229-63

Second, Lord ( http://www.thelordclan.cjb.net/ )

LORD pro6 was 270-56
LORD cpm4 was 255-46

djuhn says:
It's the nature of cup competitions to throw together teams from different divisions, but both these games were played in good spirit. My first games of the day versus QQ showed me how much I need to warm up before a game, as the rest of the team eclipsed me. Particular skillz of note belong to =QQ=Geds who seemed to have a tidy rail on him... I look forward to watching QQ, who are a relatively young team in terms of Q3, grow in confidence and standing.

In the LoRD game I whored :) Oh, and dawg was 2 damage points off 10k.

BarrysWorld Q3DM League - Week 1 Review
Snip Snip Snip... As expected both EK and QL got off to positive starts, EK added ex-SLH player sd to their squad not long before the kick-off and i think he was involved in their comfortable defeat of Lost, the Beglians don't have too many reasons to feel down about this result though and it wouldn't surprise me if they go closer against QL in Week 2. Pick of Week 2 Fixtures - EK v vGo - FT100 cup form suggests this will be a close run thing, despite EK's pretty comfortable performance this week. vGo will be on a bit of a downer perhaps but they played a better side and this should be a real cracker of game.
