EK vs Xeno
|
Last night saw EK face ex-division one clan Xeno on cpm4 and dm8. Cpm4 saw us with reasonable control, but some silly mistakes from all of us - think we were just having a bad game, although we won by 68-53. Secondly saw dm8, which to be fair we haven't played our best on recently. This game was very important to me as I realised a couple of fundamental things in terms of gameplay and comms and managed to fix and use them during the game. We won this map by a much better margin 113-68.
On a different note, well done to SLH who almost beat Clockers 109-107 on dm8. See you next week guys (dm14,dm6) :)

BWRA3 Week One Details
|
The fixtures for week one in the bwra3 are now up. EK plays at 2pm on Saturday vs VFH. Other clans in the group include Sex, CM, RW, ICED, (^), Vu^, git, SB, [cTs] and [inf].
If you need RA3, get it here for full install or here as an upgrade. These are quite big downloads so make sure you do in advance of Saturday. The map we will be playing is ra3map6:
'The one with "that" hand. The main area here is actually the hand area, as camping here allows you to access the majority of the map fairly quickly. It also features the amusing "hallelujah" jump pad from the bottom level. The hand itself BTW is also a jump-pad, but be aware that it is possible to get irretrievably stuck under the hand itself, so be careful when in it's immediate vicinity.
Main weapon is the railgun, as most of the map is fought beyond close range. But it's always handy to have the good old standby (rockets) at the ready'.

BWRA3L Season 2
|
The BarrysWorld Rocket Arena 3 League commences this Saturday the 19th of May at 14:00. There isn't much information on the site but the first map of the season will be ra3map6. Times for each division are as follows:
Division One: 18:00
Division Two: 17:00
Division Three: 16:00
Division Four: 15:00
Division Five: 14:00 The divisions for the new season can be found here. XSR have also written previews of division one and division two with hopefully the remainder of them coming sometime this week. Also a new rule has been added for this season which states if a side cannot field a side of five they must default unless a solution can be thought of.

Interesting news over at WPDML, where '3' have been banned from participating from the league. After hearing about the way they conduct themselves in friendlies and certain members' actions on our IRC channel, I can hardly say I'm surprised. I just hope Sar doesn't intend to go to i8 too, as Cookie is going to have more leg breaking than game playing.

THIS IS A NEW POST - HENCE NO OLD COMMENTS
I have taken Saten's foul language into account and so removed him :)
The League Starts on the 19th and we are in Division 5
Unfortunatly I don't know what time it's going to be since the Fixtures, etc. haven't been posted yet. I will try and keep you informed. Most likely times are between 7pm and 11pm BST (2pm-6pm EST for Jeevan) tho' this is just my guess

This is not necessarily the standard team (it almost certainly isn't since this is the only time I will be playing for the clan between now and i8) and over the season other players will get to play (in particular Rekun and G-R0), especially those who rarely get the chance to play for the clan.
AND FOR ALL THOSE WHO HATE RA3 - I DON'T CARE :)
Please, we have enough members now, most of whom can play - I don't want to default any matches this season.

Wireplay finale
|
9pm, and amid netsplits as Quakenet is DOSsed to fuck, four intrepid souls set out in a van, a van driven by LuckyHands, with one goal in mind. To win the division, and wipe the chubby smile from a certain biscuit's face. One map would have been sufficient to clinch the title, but we took both maps.
DM8 we started hesitantly, with a seeming inability to get the quad. Once we got ourselves sorted out, things went smoothly and we won 111:63.
CPM9 we'd set good tactics for, and although we outpinged most of EA (not that they made any big deal out of this, oh no, they were very sporting about it) it would be unfair of us to claim that it was a ping-alone victory. Final score: 113-28. Special congratulations to EA*Kaotic for making it to double figures on cpm9. Pity several EA members had to be somewhere really quickly, and disconnected from the game as the buzzer sounded.
