Bigfoot has posted the latest Weekly BWDML Coverage over at Quakenation. Here's what he had to say about EK's match:
The battle between Elite Alliance and Elite Killers to decide who is the "l33t3st" (c) coda 2001 was won by EK pretty convincingly to also put EA in a difficult position of having no points allthough they have played 1 match less than most other clans.

Why code a RW proxy when i can plug my modem in alongside my janet connection and run RW thru that? D'oh!
With any luck i should be SLPB and be able to use RW on monday.

Wireplay DML, Div 2. WTF is wrong with it?
Our first game vs LL, x2 wins, gets to be replayed. Then we got RD and they left after losing with 2 mins to go at end of first map. Default. Next week - another default. One game vs POQ, win. And today... We were meant to play KOTR, who managed to put up a team of ... 2!!! I mean, FFS, but this is supposed to be div 2. There are 7 divisions so one would think that at the higher level teams would be slighly more serious. Maybe it is not my place to say this, but if you commit to the league, then at least do the decent thing and show up! Otherwise, just say you can't dig it and let clans that are willing to play to have a shot.

BWDML week 3
|
We just played against Elite Alliance (W4rhog, Djack, Raw etc) in our 3rd week clash for BWDML. Much to my pleasant surprise, x2 wins for EK (129:104 dm6tmp and 151:96 mexx1). Games were quite pleasant and we managed to control both maps rather nicely. As ususal, our mexx1 play was far nicer and dm6 felt like it is not quite FFA at times =)

New Car...
|
Picked up my new car today after visiting insurance company. (Insurance cost me 850 dollars for 6 months which is much better than the initial quote of 2,400 dollars for six months.
The car has 202 miles on the clock and is metalic silver - the car looks gorgeous and drives like a dream. Got the car fitted with alloy wheels, 6 speaker cd sound system, security alarm (to lower insurance) and a sun roof or moon roof as they call them over here.
My next car is going to definately have luxury leather cream interiors (a toyota avalon or a bmw if I have enough cash for it). Remarkably the car I bought was not really that expensive considering the amount of equipment i got with it.
Now I need to find all my spare pennies for a new computer... April the 18th lads.... Stand by....

Hmmmm i'm not sure im gonna have time to work on that rw proxy with the amount of wan^H^H^Hwork i have to do. Exams soon :(.
Modems are annoying... janet in 1 week tho :))
Tested a NGUK bookable server earlier with blowfish. They seem excellent, u can have any of the popular mods and OSP works nicely. Should anyone want to book a slot, tell me and i'll pass on the passwords etc.
Also: it seems we have been a bit unreliable getting a team together for praccys etc lately. I think we should try and organise who is going to play well before the games, and whack it in #l33t topic.. and the person who organised the praccy should make sure everyone knows about it! Atm we are looking a bit disorganised to other clans and its starting to remind me of *cough* gc :)

EK vs WZ praccy

After half an hour of trying to get a team together, download OSP99t and connect to the server, we finally got a praccy against WZ tonight. We played one game on CPM4, our team consisting of Coda, Djuhn, Rekun, Z3on. A close game resulted in another win for EK, thanks to Coda and Djuhn clocking up frags while myself and Z3on ran away :). Screenshot is here - pld all.

Blowfish in Clan-Wars Tourney

Due to a last minute reshuffle, I seem to have been placed in the clan-wars tourney in the division 1 group. First game has been sceduled for tomorrow night For the following maps.

accident and increasing stress levels....

it was last saturday around 1:00am in the morning when I decided a Pizza would be nice. The only place open at that hour was about 30 minutes drive away (about 20 miles away). Jumped into the Alero coupe (rental car) and accelerated listening to "it's not right, but it's ok" thunderpuss remix, Whitney Houston.
The roads were empty and the car handled good. The roads reminded me of Sega Rally 2 for my dreamcast and I increased the pressure I was applying to the accelerator peddle. The roads were empty and I checked my speed, it was hovering between 65-70mph with the speed limit being 45. There was a small hill approaching and I increased speed as I wanted the sensation of "lifting off" the ground as I went over the small hill at speed (just like in Sega Rally) I took off and I could hear the engine roar and the wheels spinning in the air.
Suddenly, further down the road, to my horror, I saw a group of deers crossing the road. The head lights of my car, caught the eyes of some of the deers and I sensed the panic they must have felt with a car hurtling towards them, in the air without control.
I heard the screeching of tires as the car landed on the road again. I applied a control pressure to the brake of the car, letting go as I sensed the wheels locking and reapplying, making steering changes to stay on the road.
I saw the deers running away in slow motion and I noticed one deer which was directly infront of me - it had frozen and couldn't move. This is bizzare, but It was actually taking a piss? I could see the trickle of it's urine glistening because of the head lights.
I willed it to move.. but it didn't. There was a look of doom in the eyes of this deer and it was just taking it's last piss. I pushed harder on the brakes and could hear the screech of the brake pads getting louder...
THUD!
(The car was OK by the way - I made a thorough check the following morning. Also the pizza place was closed - they close early on weekends, I didn't know this)
