CSports.net goes live
The new global gaming ranking website CSports.net today opened up their website in Public Beta format. Basically this seems to work much like the old theclq did. CSports.net is a statistics service for computer gamers worldwide. For selected games we record and display statistics on online computer games players around the world.

Sujoy i7 Review
Sujoy has posted his review of i7 on XSR which you can read here.
[snip] Also there was a fair bit of UK press about the event - the Independent yesterday, Daily Mail today, and the Evening Standard sometime soon. Also I'll be on the Big Breakfast tomorrow morning for anyone up at that ridiculous time. [/snip] - no doubt we'll see an update to sujoy.com soon.

BWDML week 2...
...2 wins against *VS* ("lucky", apparantly). GG everyone, especially Z3on who showed mad modem skillz on his debut :)

dm14 screeny cpm4 screeny

NB. Blowfish left once we were assured the win on cpm4 - he didn't want to be locked in two weeks in a row.

BW RA3 League to startup soon
Just checking around the various leagues looking for a suitable one to join and I noticed the Barrysworld Rocket Arena 3 Cup is soon to start. The first game seems to be scheduled for the 14/4/01 (Saturday) and like the clan-wars one requires teams of 5 (although 4 can play). The cup will then run for 3 weeks.
It may be too late to signup for the cup, but also there is the season 2 bw League starting soon also, and I quote - 'I mailed 28 clans from the waiting list and only got 8 replies and one of them was to say no. I've mailed the clan's that haven't replied giving them until the 10/4/01 to give me either a yes or no answer' which gives us about a week to make up our mind about that. I suggest we go for the bottom division for a laff?

BWQ3DM League S5 Week 1 Review
Quakenation has put up a short review of the first week of the bwdml which as we know wasn't ideal.

'whilst performance of the week was probably RnF's victory over EK in a bad-tempered match'

But we do get: 'Pick of Week 2 games - Vs v EK - A rematch of a very "competitive" game last season which is sure to be incident packed.'

UK Qualifier registration open
The Playing Fields in London has announced that registration to their UK Qualifying event for the impending CPL Holland event is now open.

The Quake 3 event will again be an all pro event. Everyone will win a cash prize. The methodology used in the previous qualifier will be used to select players (ie 20 of the best players registered, followed by 20 players who have played at a UK qualifier before followed by 24 wild cards on a first come first served basis).'

More info on the event can be found here, and the registration page is right here.

Thoughts on i7
Decided to post this today rather than at some unearthly hour on Sunday having spent the previous four hours driving (2 of which was spent battling my way through London)

Anyway, on topic - thoughts on i7:
Wicky wicky wil' west. Well, west of Reading anyway.

It was a great time. We were positioned far enough away from the cunt0rstrikers but near enough that if we leaned over a balcony we could gob on them. We were sat next to The Doobie Brothers, who were a good laugh and had some good 2v2 skillz (nice to meet you guys, hope to see you at i8) and, despite poor Rod's cpu overheating and melting onto his heatsink, I think everyone there had a good time.

Highlights:
Djuhn in the last 16 duellers
A team of coda's taking on nEo
"the ek wall of love"
me being to do a jump which Steve can't
Djuhn acheiving the rocket->rail jump
Badga's wallpaper
"n00bies"
the t-shirts (nice one Djuhn)
dawg being pimped as nEo's best ctf'er on NowTV

:)
