GeForce 3 Information
X-Bit Labs have posted a very detailed look at the GeForce 3 technology and it has to be said that its looking like a stonker. Fast, Powerful and loads of new features including FSAA 4x quality at the speed of FSAA 2x, I have got toget me one of these cards. Here is a Direct Link to the specs: http://www.xbitlabs.com/video/geforce3-preview.html , and here is a page of known GeForce 3 Products: http://www.xbitlabs.com/editorial/geforce3.html

Ancient Greek Arena Maps
Z-Axis (http://zaxis.stomped.com/) has posted a review of the new Quake 3 Deathmatch map Ancient Greek Arena. A very impressive looking and well created map, but not so good for deathmatch. Perhaps worth checking out anyway just for the *wow* factor. If you want to find out more read the full review here http://zaxis.stomped.com/main.php3?content=authors/q3a/residentscum/wmgdm1/wmgdm1.rev&title=Z-Axis+Quake3Arena+Review

Wireplay DM League Week 1
1st week of the Wireplay league. They had a few technical difficulties resulting in our match being 40 mins late (read: no admin on our server for 40 mins) but eventually we got going and had an enjoyable tussle with LanLords (LL) on CPM4. The second map has been postponed until the end of the season, as LL had places to be. Not a bad result considering our performance last night (ass still aching) and the RW crashes.

**update**
Clanwars/Wireplay, in all their finite wisdom, have decided to cancel all Wednesday's matches and nullify those games that were played. So regardless of what BBW said on the server (that the CPM4 game would count, the DM7 would be played at the end of the season). I'm a bit annoyed at having the decision reversed without any clans being consulted. But then who cares about the Little People?

Geekplay
This is on its way to the links page, but is worth posting here first.

GeekPlay is a demoplayer for Quake III Arena 1.27. It automatically plays demos when you double-click them. Both 1.17 and 1.27 demos are supported (by using Strider's Q3DC).

Savaged
Today I played Q3 for the first time in a while - certainly the first teamplay in over a month. Did I mention my 23% PL? Sorry, maybe I did once or twice. Savage Cup. Oops, we forgot about that (thanks to dawg for reminding us 20 mins before the game). A hastily assembled squad was roped into playing. Mmm, we played shite. Did I mention DC? Can't remember much, but my ass is sure sore.

To Be Confirmed confirmed...
'Champions know that success is inevitable' - Conrad Hilton

From http://leagues.barrysworld.com/bwq3l/dm/ 27th FEBRUARY 2001

'I can also confirm EK as winners of Div3A, congratulations to them.'

It is worth taking a pause here to thank the whole clan for their time and effort in this season, both those who played and those who supported from the sidelines. It is nice to see our effort rewarded in this way. GG.
