1. well the "last update" date uses the date of the folder? Needs to be retrieved from the database, rather than using filestamps - I remember getting annoyed with the shtml columns for the same reason.

3. I meant do it as a proper gallery, not some enormous page that takes ages to load

11: yes and? things behind if ... then ... else statements only get evaluated if the condition is true, therfore, they have no bearing on the produced html and its size.

Quotes are now coming directly from CNX's database :)
Just need to decide whether the quote should be:
1. above the news, in a standard box (as the ET skin is now)
2. above the news, outside a standard box (as the Q3 skin is now)
3. below the news search/archive in a standard box
4. on an IRC page - an IRC quote, IRC stats, java/phpIRC?
